How To Save An Image From Instagram

Instagram has made it difficult to save an image from their app and website. The easiest thing to do is just take a screen shot of the image with your phone and crop it, but that can leave you with image quality issues. I’ll walk you through two way to save an image from Instagram.

How To Save An Image From Instagram from a computer:

1. Right click on the image
2. Choose “Inspect”
3. You’ll see code pop up at the bottom of your screen
4. You’ll see a <div> highlighted, click the <div> above the currently highlighted <div>
5. You’ll see an <img> tag, the caption associated with the image, hash tags
6. Look for the “srcset=” in the code
7. Highlight the code starting at “https://scontent-sea1…” and don’t stop until you have highlighted the “.jpg”
8. Copy that code
9. Paste it into the URL bar
10. Your image will appear, right click, save image as
